Taipei 101 Adventure In Taiwan

Taipei 101 Adventure is waiting in Taiwan. The Taipei 101 can be found in the Xinyi District on the eastern side of Taipei. In the Xinyi District there are few other buildings to block the magnificent view that is available from all it’s windows. You can see the whole city, and the valley beyond. Gaze into the air. Look up at the sky. See this amazing 1,670 foot skyscraper. It is one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world. From 2004-2010 it was the world’s tallest skyscraper. In 2010 the Burj Khalifa in Dubai took over top honors as the tallest in the world. It may no longer be the tallest skyscraper in the world, but it still holds the honor for the world’s fastest elevator. This is a Taipei 101 Adventure. The Taipei 101 is named for its 101 above ground floors. It is also sometimes refereed to by it’s original name, the Taipei Financial Center. The number 101 reflects the beginning of the year. Like many other skyscrapers, the Taipei 101 has a unique architectural design.Each major element is symbolic of the local Taiwanese culture.

It is no accident that there are eight block-like stacks to this impressive building. Eight is a Taiwanese lucky number. What a privilege it is to enter this unique skyscraper. It is a true Taiwan achievement! A careful glance will show that the tower resembles an Asian pagoda with the reeds of a bamboo tree. The fantastic bamboo tree also grows in layers. All these things give this magnificent building a distinctly Taiwanese appearance.
