Xiaomi Redmi Review, Price, Specs

Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro

Xiaomi has assumed now an incredible rate of production of new smartphones, considering the many variants of smartphones available. Today we talk about Redmi and details of the Redmi 4 Pro version, also known as Redmi 4 Prime.

Inside the box we have 5V/2A AC adapter and a USB-microUSB cable.

Redmi 4 Pro is a compact and very convenient smartphone that can be used even with one hand. The thickness is quite low, while the weight betrays the presence of substantial battery. It is made of metal, making the smartphone interesting also for those who do not want a smartphone that can deface from an aesthetic and constructive point of view. The hardware buttons on the right side are pressed well, although in our case we found them a bit too soft. The rounding of the back is beautiful that partially follows the lines of your hand.

This new compact smartphone for Xiaomi has a Snapdragon 625 octa-core 2 GHz with Adreno 506 graphics processor and 3GB of RAM. The hardware is really interesting and that allow optimal performance in all conditions in this smartphone. The connectivity is good with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2, infrared port and support for dual SIM. The LTE connectivity is at 300 Mbps, which still suffers from the absence of the 20 to 800 MHz band.

Absent the NFC chip, while it is this FM radio. Excellent fingerprint reader on the back, always fast and accurate in detection. The speaker is then now positioned at the bottom (with respect to redmi 3 where it was on the back) and provides a volume and a slightly higher than average quality. Choosing instead anachronistic enough to launch the smartphone with a door microUSB, instead of Type-C.

The camera of 13 megapixels ƒ/2.2 of this redmi 4 Pro has surprised us positively, though never actually achieve the perfect shot. Photos are much more than just enjoyable with plenty of light and become acceptable in low light, even if you lose a lot of detail and noise takes over. The software is fast, and the focus is fairly accurate. In terms of features there is nothing new, though not many confirmations by Xiaomi. The videos are enough if a little 'shaky, as it is sufficient even the modest 5-megapixel front camera.

The screen remained by 5 inches but the resolution is increased, as far as to 1920x1080 pixels (Full HD), always on IPS technology. The display is therefore an important resolution, especially considering its size. Very good brightness and works well its system automatism brightness. So this is an excellent smartphone with regard to the display in its price range. Only the maximum brightness perhaps could be even higher.

Android is updated to version 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is personalized with the MIUI 8 interface. There are new functions that you may already recognize. We talk for example of the one-handed mode and the mode does not disturb the second plan to duplicate the system (and keep it protected with a code or with the imprint) and dual apps to duplicate a single application, and then access the other account. The phone is then sold already with the Play Store and you can then just install your favorite apps and provide and change the language of the third party apps.

The 4100 mAh battery is the real key to this product. With an average use you will be able to use it for two full days on a single charge, while in case of an intense use you will never have problems to get through the day with a generous amount of time remaining.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 is selling at Rs. 6,999, a very attractive price for a smartphone that has a lot to offer in terms of hardware and performance.

Final Judgement

Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro for its price is almost an unparalleled device with great display, good battery, fast and good software and hardware. Even the cameras are sufficient. At this point, the only limitations is the lackof 800 MHz bandwidth.
