The application, developed in collaboration with Accenture Interactive, the digital agency part of Accenture Digital, is based on Tango, a smartphone technology for augmented reality by Google that allows mobile devices to navigate in the real world, interacting with virtual reality, and is optimized for the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro smartphone, the first device compatible with Tango.
About a year ago, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, FCA and Accenture presented a first prototype of this application, setting new frontiers in customer experience, enabling you to view and interact with a virtual version in 1:1 scale in a car which you are interested. The Jeep Compass Visualizer is available in Jeep dealerships in some European markets as well as in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland and will be introduced throughout the Europe later this summer.
Users, for example, can choose and change the color of the bodywork and the configuration of circles. The doors can be opened to discover the interiors, which reveals the internal configurable in turn. Customers who visit the Jeep dealers will be able to configure the Jeep Compass, choosing between two different versions of the interior or Urbex Ski Gray and two types of leather material or leather/fabric combination. Thanks to augmented reality, the selected configuration will appear before them in 3D format.
