Nokia D1C Review, Price, Specs

There are still three months to the end of the year, but for Nokia, 2017 promises to be a crucial watershed, which coincides with the return of the historic brand on board the smartphone segment. The Finnish group had already announced that next year it would be done to be ready for the launch of several new devices designed by Global HMD and constructed by the Chinese Foxconn and in recent hours one of them has made an appearance on GeekBench online platform.

The device name is coded, Nokia D1C, while specifications emerged from the site are those of a mid-range smartphone, equipped with octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB of RAM. Other details remain completely in the shadow, since GeekBench is not able to record other information from gadgets that use it, but previous rumors speak of two or three phones that will accompany the release of Nokia D1C next year.

The smartphone should be both more powerful and expensive than the one just discussed, with a 22 megapixel camera and an OLED display from 5 to 5.5 inches, while all three expected to hit the market with Android Nougat on board. The phones will probably be announced later this year: may be missing then just before the Finnish company directly give some news about it.

Nokia would return to the smartphone market and in fact two years of constraint imposed by Microsoft expired. The time is therefore ripe and Nokia seems ready to launch a new smartphone with Android 7.0 Nougat named Nokia D1C.

A possible confirmation coming from Geekbench where it was possible to observe the technical specifications of this new smartphone Nokia weblog. By Site tables you can see how the new D1C reaches a score of 628 points in single-core and 3229 in multi-threaded. Scores not exciting but which are in fact in line with what seem to be the technical specifications of the product.

The new Nokia, in fact, is a mid-range smartphone with Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 with 1.4 GHz clock, and GPU Adreno 505 and 3GB of RAM. No news however comes with regard to the display size or the specifications of the camera.

The rumors on the net had spoken of a return of Nokia in style. The company, in fact, would be ready to present in addition to this mid-range smartphone, a top of the range and a tablet. To the top of the range it would be talking of a product with Quad HD display from 5.2 or 5.5-inch OLED display and a 22.6 megapixels camera.

In short, Nokia seems ready to return with products definitely in step with the times. But we must keep our feet on the ground and wait for new details hoping to have an official presentation as soon as possible and, above all, hoping that Nokia, in his new role, proposing really new products and maybe with a touch of originality or innovation that has been its distinctive in the 90s and in the early 2000s, when he dominated the mobile phone market.
