At the IFA 2017, LG has introduced its V30. The manufacturer has already scattered some information here and there. The LG V30 will be the new high-end smartphone from the manufacturer and is thus in direct competition with the LG G6. Inside, there is Qualcomm's current top CPU, the Snapdragon 835, and 4 GB memory.
The internal memory is either 64 or 128 GB. Like the G6, the V30 offers an 18:9 screen, which has grown from 5.7 to 6 inches and now works by OLED and not IPS technology. The resolution is 2880 x 1440 pixels. The frame of the V30 is even more subtle and noble compared to the G6 as far as we can judge after a first impression.
LG removed the second-screen present in its predecessors by an always-on feature. It offers shortcuts to apps and functions when the screen is off.
LG V30: Dual Camera with Glass Lens
As a special highlight is the LG camera. The lens of the main camera is made of glass and not plastic. The V30 offers an aperture of f/1.6. It should lead to better results, especially in difficult light conditions. The resolution here is 16 megapixels with an optical image stabilizer.
The second camera on the back is for wide angle shooting and shoots at 13 megapixels. LG has improved here again on the quality in the wide-angle function after the G6. LG has not only improved on the photo features. The video mode offers some new features, including a point zoom. If you tap a certain point on the display during the shooting, the camera zooms to this area. Besides, there are some live filters, which should give the video an individual look.
For audiophiles, the LG V30 supports the HighRes MQA audio codec. Whether one can hear a difference here depends above all on how well the built-in audio chip is. The price and release date are not fixed yet. The LG V30 could appear in October. The price should be above the current LG G6 price. We expect the LG V30 price at around Rs. 49999.
Our first impression of the LG V30
The LG V30 is what the LG G6 should have been with a high-end technology without compromise. The smartphone reacts fast. Thanks to AMOLED the display delivers crisp, high-contrast images. The processing is first class. Yet, the V30 like many current competitors is very vulnerable to fingerprints. We are eager to see how the LG V30 will perform.
