Book Review: Super Women: Prachi Garg

Super Women: Inspiring stories of 20 Women Entrepreneurs by Prachi Garg is the true stories of successful women managers and entrepreneurs who are discriminated against in many workplaces, but when their talent is recognized, they show all their qualities of leadership and creativity, with art, with the ability to find their own style, who in many cases from scratch have managed to create successful business ventures.

The women of the contemporary age are capable, smart and strong as men, but did we not know already? It was not a question of which we had already seized, and we had made our own. A succession of women who want to get from life the complete package from career, success, power, motherhood, love, respect but can you be fully successful in every field.

Those described in this book are all women who have reached the highest peaks in their work from sustaining sufferers of acid attacks, to providing free skin care solutions; from online trade of lingerie, handmade bags and trendy accessories, to eco-friendly products of daily utility; from pet care products, to eccentric products; from empowering folk artists, to providing clinical aid to those going through tough times; from image consulting to house hunting; from creative solutions, to novel promotion and business communication; from creating happy readers to making religious ceremonies simpler.

And they all had to fight to get where they are now against men, against prejudice and against society but there are successful and, through the author's pen, they want to give advice to all those who want to follow the same path while talking about family, time management, goal setting and falling in love of their business ideas.

The author describes women of today who have different ages and have undertaken different careers from the young entrepreneurs Masoom Minawala of Style Fiesta to Richa Kar of Zivame to Sneha Raisoni of Tappu ki Dukaan to Tina Garg of Pink Lemonade and many more women, who instead have already climbed all the stages of their careers.

The author describes the life of these entrepreneurs and their struggles who rise from when activities fall flat for problems of disagreements among members, to lack of common sense, to exaggerated expectations, to insignificant and neglected mistakes that eventually become unmanageable.

Despite the differences, the similarities between them are many and the author retraces the fundamental stages of their life from childhood on, to find out exactly when they realized to be different from their companions and wanting more from their lives. All these personal characteristics are found in the book style that is direct, precise, smooth and smart.

It is true that the world of power is still largely male and that there is real inequality between the sexes but this type of books actually aid the cause for women, and provides stimuli to fulfill themselves and in fact, the leitmotif is the struggles to succeed.

The book is recommended for entrepreneurs and women managers for professional development, which is a simple book, clear and full of ideas, that contains reflections, questions, doubts and makes you put in front of so many potential risks in which you will encounter during the startup and beyond.
