Chicken Biryani Recipe

Prep Time: 30 mins ♥ Cook Time: 20 mins ♥ Total Time: 50 mins ♥ Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

1 onion
1 cup milk
2 chicken thighs
3 tbsp coriander leaves
2 tbsp mint leaves
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
2 green chillies
1 tsp red chilli powder
2 cloves powdered
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tomato
1 cup yogurt
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
1 cardamom
2 bay leaves
1 tsp turmeric
Pinch of saffron
1 tbsp ghee
Salt to taste


Recipe Method:

Add coriander, tomato, mint, ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, yogurt, salt and half of the sliced onion to chicken pieces and leave it aside for a hour in refrigerator.

Heat ghee and add cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, green chilli paste, turmeric, sliced onion and fry for a few minutes. Add rice and fry for 2 minutes. Add salt, water and let it cook. Mix saffron in milk and add to it.

Heat ghee in a pan and add marinated chicken. Fry for 5 minutes.

Spread half the quantity of rice, followed by half the quantity of fried onion. You can add little water. Spread remaining rice and then onion. Cover the lid and seal the edges with dough. Cook on a low flame for 25 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
