During a special event held at San Francisco, LG has officially announced the highly anticipated LG V20, the first device on the market to be equipped with the operating system Android 7.0 Nougat. LG V20 is designed to offer customers a more dynamic experience based on the most popular video and audio of the V Series, said Juno Cho, president, LG Electronics and Mobile Communications.

With LG V20, we offer our customers more of everything they love and less of everything that does not need to create a new standard for premium smartphones. The smartphone has been realized by making use of ultra-resistant materials, including aluminum and a new silicone material that reduces damage to fall by more than 20%. The rear bodywork is made of AL6013 metal, a material used in airplanes, sailing and mountain biking characterized by extreme lightness and strength. LG V20 is also MIL-STD 810G certified, having passed the drop test from a height of four feet (1.2 meters).

LG V20 is characterized by the presence of a second display for notifications, brighter than the previous version of this V10 and capable of showing fonts 50% larger. The Expandable Notifications feature allows the user direct access to notifications by tapping the small display.

The South Korean company has integrated into the product the best audio and video solutions available, including the Record 2.0 Steady technology for recording sharp footage and, at the same time, free of vibrations. This technology exploits particularly the electronic image stabilization EIS 3.0 developed by Qualcomm, capable of improving the accuracy of synchronization between the image and the gyro and reducing the synchronization latency to just 50 milliseconds. What's more, the digital image stabilization is able to further enhance the video quality by minimizing the distorting effects and making smoother images.

LG V20 records the audio of the video using the professional solution Linear Pulse Code Modulation 24-bit/48MHz, while the Hi-Fi videos offer a high sound quality via the options Low Cut Filter and Limiter, through which you can remove the unwanted background noise while setting the proper recording of the voice away.

As for the audio, the smartphone announced by LG is the first company to offer the solution developed by ESS Technology Hi-Fi Quad 32-bit DAC for minimizing distortion and reducing the noise of the surrounding environment up to 50%. HD Audio Recorder allows you to record and perfect sound through the three microphones integrated into the device, and the recordings can be controlled manually by going to the Studio Mode functionality. The partnership with B & O Play ensures high audio quality and a natural, balanced sound in all conditions. And for a limited period, by purchasing LG V20 they will receive a free headphones B & O Play H3.

The third aspect on which LG has focused to provide high-level innovative solutions is that photo: the front room integrates a 5-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens 120 degrees, while the Auto Shot function uses face recognition to take selfies quality without the need to press the button.

The 8MP rear cam is equipped with a wide-angle lens perfect for capturing 135-degree panoramic images, while the Hybrid Autofocus guarantees optimum sharpness in all conditions thanks to the ability to leverage in photos and video mechanisms Laser Detection AF, Phase Detection AF and Contrast AF simultaneously. On the rear bodywork it is also present a second 16-megapixel sensor Lens 75 degrees.

LG V20 is equipped with the Android 7.0 operating system with Nougat LG UX UI 5.0+ and integrates the functionality Multi-Window for viewing two apps at once and Google in apps search to search for content within the app is preinstalled by the user who downloaded the app.

The device is characterized by the presence of a main display Quantum IPS 5.7 inch display with qHD resolution and density of 513ppi, a secondary display Quantum of 160x1040 pixels IPS display with 513ppi density, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB of internal memory expandable up to an additional 2TB, X12 LTE connectivity, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, USB Type-C, a sensor for fingerprints, a 5MP front cam opening f/1.9 and two respectively 16MP rear cam with f/1.8 and 8MP with OIS and an aperture of f/2.4.
