Book Review: Seduced by Murder: Saurbh Katyal

Seduced by Murder by Saurbh Katyal is the story of a banal murder, seemingly simple to solve but with a totally unexpected conclusion, perhaps the most unattainable, with the structure with the linearity of this book is great and the finale is nothing short of unthinkable with a novel that will devour in a few hours.

As soon as Vishal Bajaj, a sharp, firm, hard-hitting private detective receives a call from his onetime crush Aditi, he is seduced into a whirlpool of family slander and a murder and sets out to grab hold of the assassin, while covenanting with the resurrection of an overpowering yearning for Aditi that he had concealed years ago and doesn't mind getting his hands grubby as he races against time to catch a scrupulous murderer who will make you lose your breath away and make you feel the smell of death.

The feeling while reading is to walk side by side with Vishal, along the corridors of the familial residence that represents the scene of the crime, examining the possible culprits, searching for clues, with a refinement of a true detective. The only downside may be the over-schematic plot, but the plot twists are masterful with an unexpected and unpredictable climax.

The main character is Vishal, the detective famous for his great powers of deduction and a man very determined and self-confident nevertheless always prefers not to immediately reveal his assumptions to people who work with him in the investigation, but expect to be safe and to have the tests rather than give too hasty solutions that may prove to be wrong.

Seduced by Murder is an unusual and amazing book that weaves a web of noir and suspense that keeps the reader riveted and guessing till the end. After reading the first page you will no longer be able to stop in the midst of good descriptions of places and characters, and an epic finale.

The analysis below other points of view generates new securities from short-term that will take you to step up to the end of the book where the truth revealed to everyone makes balance at all times when in this series of convictions and criminal dissuasions you discover a project haughty and imposing, however logical and perfect in its realization.

The strong point of the novel is certainly the finale and really a novel to be devoured that draws the reader's attention to the indisputable peculiarities, proposing to limit the obvious conclusions, at least until the next paragraph, where the previous certainties are called into play.

Saurbh Katyal with its simplicity has concocted an intricate novel, with a complex case, yes that is resolved, as in all the murder mysteries, but in a really unique manner and a phenomenal plot, which reflects the personality of the writer. The conversations in the pages traces the characters and places, scenes and dialogues and the illustrators very few external narratives to outline the context which may be summarized in the phrase of Machiavellian memory that the end justifies the means.

It is a novel rather short with less than 300 pages and yet Saurbh manages to encapsulate in such a short space a masterpiece with the writing is fluid and, though rich in detail, do not confuse the reader. This element certainly increases the appreciation for this novel so even if it does not please you, at least you read fast!

The characters are well sketched with skill where you would absolutely be not able to figure out who could be the murderer and would love the level of tension, expectation towards the end. A fascinating book, both for the charismatic character of its protagonist, and as also a plot, with a mystery to be discovered, that the reader longs to resolve before the end, with their own intuitive abilities.

The characters are perfectly arranged for an unexpected conclusion, although partly predictable, with the exception of the fantastic end of course that will manage to capture you from the first page through an engaging storyline, and clues cleverly distributed, until the end, to make waver on the identity of the true culprit.

The author, writes in a very simple way which everyone can understand and what he want to convey, and constructs plots so unusual and seemingly inexplicable, that the reader is involved in a dense atmosphere, so as to be encouraged to read the book in one breath.

The book very interesting, ideal for a relaxing reading and from the smoothness with which it is written, it is easy to get carried away by the text and get to the end with bated breath to learn a stunning conclusion and somewhat unusual with the unsurpassed models of the kind where only a mind fervid and exceptional as that of the author could create stories from the plots so perfect as to leave the reader speechless.
