Jaguar F-Type Convertible Sports Car

The Jaguar F-Type is a roadster car produced by Jaguar. The F-Type was proposed by the British automaker as an heir to the Jaguar E-Type. The car was presented with three different propulsion engines, namely two supercharged V6 3.0s delivering 340 hp and 380 hp respectively and a V8 5.0 with 550 hp volumetric compressor.

The latter allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, with a maximum speed of 300 km/h. Subsequently, the four-wheel drive versions of the model were presented, and the Jaguar F Type R version with the 5.0 V8 boosted. The full-length F Type R reaches 100 kilometers per hour in 4 seconds. All engines are operated by an 8-speed Quickshift automatic transmission.

The bodywork, made of aluminum, carries the car to about 1600 kg. As far as design is concerned, it has a double grip around the front hood, muscular flanks, and sleek back lights. The F-Type suspension on the front has a double swing arm. The rear with adaptive cushions and suspension settings are adjustable to allow the driver to adjust the car's handling and handling. The F-TYPE has a total of 25 different driving modes programmed to meet the different road conditions and driving styles.

Tata Nexon: Will the new platform come on Jaguar and Land Rover?

During the 2013 Los Angeles Car Show, Jaguar presented the R version of the F-Type. With this new version, the F-Type coupé variant, which maintains all the motor and mechanical characteristics, has also begun. It travels in aesthetics with the presence in the back of a roof and a very sloping fixed rear window, not in the roadster.

The frame has been strengthened to increase torsional stiffness and the cabinet cell has been made of aluminum arches due to the absence of a central upright. The interiors were covered in leather. Mechanically, a V8 5.0 compressor powered by the Quickshift 8-speed automatic gearbox was installed. The power is 550 hp that push the car at an electronically limited speed of 300 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds.

At the Geneva Motor Show, 2016 Jaguar presents the F-TYPE SVR. The engine is the same as the F-Type R with a power output of 575 hp, which makes this the top model of the F-Type range. Thanks to this engine, it allows you to reach a maximum of 320 km/h for the coupe and 314 km/h for the convertible and an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The transmission is entrusted to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive.

For the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2014, the UK home made the creation of an enhanced F-Type version of 250 copies. Named Project 7, it was equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine equipped with 570 hp volumetric power- driven compressor operated by the Quickshift eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It was also equipped with anti-roll bars, increased front suspensions, adaptive shock absorbers, rigid springs, a braking system consisting of carbo-ceramic disc brakes and a torque vectoring system.
